Introduction
JJG Aero & Machining operates in precision machining with in-house special processes for the aerospace, automotive, and industrial sectors. As the company expanded, it needed a reliable way to understand actual machine utilization, capacity, OEE, downtime, and operational performance across a highly diverse machine environment.
Before choosing Hiotron, JJG had tried multiple vendors, but none of them demonstrated the level of flexibility in customization and support required for the business. The company needed more than standard monitoring. It needed a solution that could connect different machine types smoothly, support deep operational requirements, and scale without disrupting production.
The project began in 2023 with a pilot on 3 demo machines. After proving value quickly, the rollout expanded to 48 machines by the end of 2023, reached 117 machines in 2024, and scaled to 200 machines by 2025.
Challenges
JJG’s digitalization journey involved both technical and operational complexity.
•Manual data collection and delayed visibility: Earlier methods depended heavily on manual recording, which made KPI tracking slow, inconsistent, and difficult to trust for timely action.
•Mixed machine-controller environment: JJG operated a combination of machines using Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, and other platforms, making standardized connectivity more difficult.
•Scalability concerns: The solution had to start small, prove ROI quickly, and then scale across a large and growing machine base.
•Downtime sensitivity during rollout: Implementation had to be completed without affecting production or causing disruptions on the shopfloor.
•Advanced traceability requirements: JJG needed deep, aerospace-level traceability integration to support strict manufacturing and quality requirements.
•ERP and batch-operation integration needs: The business required deeper digital integration to handle batch operations, process flow, and broader ERP-linked execution.
•Need for dependable support and customization: Previous vendors had not delivered the level of responsiveness, flexibility, or business-specific customization that JJG expected.
Hiotron Solution
Hiotron implemented a connected digital manufacturing platform that brought together machine connectivity, KPI automation, traceability, reporting, alerting, and integration into one scalable solution aligned to JJG’s operations.
•Pilot-to-scale implementation: Hiotron started with a 3-machine pilot in 2023, helping JJG validate ROI and operational value before scaling across the organization.
•Rapid multi-year expansion: After the pilot, the deployment expanded to 48 machines by the end of 2023, to 117 machines in 2024, and to 200 machines by 2025.
•Smooth mixed-machine connectivity: Hiotron connected JJG’s diverse machine environment, including Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, and other machine types, through one common digital layer.
•Zero-disruption rollout: The implementation was carried out smoothly without causing downtime or disturbing day-to-day production.
•Real-time KPI visibility: The platform enabled accurate monitoring of OEE, downtime, utilization, cycle performance, operator efficiency, and other core indicators used for daily decision-making.
•Automated alerts and faster response: Machine issues could be identified quickly, enabling timely response and better production control.
•Deep traceability integration: Hiotron delivered advanced traceability capabilities aligned with aerospace-level manufacturing requirements.
•ERP integration support: Hiotron worked with JJG on deeper digital integration with ERP and related workflows to improve automation and process continuity.
•Support for batch operations: The implementation addressed deeper operational requirements related to batch handling and execution flow.
•Strong customization and support: Hiotron continuously supported JJG with report changes, enhancements, and business-specific customization based on real operational needs.

Business Impact
With Hiotron’s solution, JJG Aero & Machining gained stronger control over machine performance, production visibility, traceability, and enterprise-wide KPI management. What started as a small pilot became a company-wide digital manufacturing foundation used across 200 machines.
The transformation improved confidence in data accuracy, strengthened automation, and created better operational hygiene across the business. Hiotron’s ability to connect a mixed machine ecosystem without downtime, while also supporting deep customization and integration, made the platform a core part of JJG’s manufacturing operations.
Today, JJG uses the Hiotron system as a central KPI and performance management platform across the company because of its accuracy, automation capability, and operational reliability.
